WHY?
Changing Our World Foundation - Executive Summary
Overview
Changing Our World Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organization established to positively improve the lives of the under-privileged majority of Nigerians in seven strategic areas namely Education, Health, Food, Environment, Governance, Economic Empowerment and Media.
The vision of the Foundation is to positively impact our world by building leaders who can conceptualise our desired future and mobilize the required resources for this change which is aimed at improving the lives of Nigerians generally, prioritizing the needy and the underprivileged. The Foundation’s initial focus is the Obalende Metropolis area of Lagos State.
The Obalende Project was borne out of the visible growing despair and distress in human and environmental degradation around the Obalende area in Ikoyi. The degradation has continued to worsen, exacerbating further poverty, decay, diseases and insecurity. The situation is such that it is no longer morally acceptable to wait and watch the environmental and generational waste.
The identified seven areas offer our volunteers the opportunity to serve and reach the poor and needy in our world. We hope the Obalende Project would be an example of positive neighborhood action-oriented partnerships that can be replicated in different areas across the country.
